Seamless tubes are formed by rolling a prefabricated hot blank over a mandrel rod. The mandrel rod is then removed from the rolled blank and prepared for the next rolling process in a cooling bath. This also includes adding a graphite coating, which ensures optimum lubrication of the mandrel during rolling and is therefore decisive for the subsequent quality of the pipe.
